Any healthy person can undergo the procedure. If you are in good health, don’t smoke, don’t have any active infections, aren’t a diabetic and don’t have blood clotting problems, then you can have the procedure.

What is lip augmentation?

Lip augmentation is usually done by using injectable dermal fillers. There are many fillers used today, including collagen and fat, but the most commonly used fillers contain hyaluronic acid. This acid occurs naturally in our body, which makes fillers with this acid safe and allergy free. Hyaluronic acid containing fillers also offer many benefits over other fillers. They give better control over lip volume, are less bruising, offer longer lasting results and offer the option of gradually increasing lip volume over a number of appointments.

During the procedure, your lips will made numb by topical or local numbing agent. The areas to be injected will be marked and fine needles used to inject the filler in them. After the procedure, you will be given instructions on lip care. Follow them to avoid complications and aid speedy recovery.
